PLEASE ENTER AS SOON AS
POSSIBLE. As
always try to enter your swimmers into the meet early so they make
it into the meet. Meet entries can close early if the number
of splashes exceeds the estimated time line, per the Four Hour
Rule, based on swimmers’ age and gender.
Location San
Ramon Olympic Pool and Aquatic Park, 9900 Broadmoor Drive, San
Ramon, CA 94583.
Meet Sheet (please read meet
sheet carefully)
Who should attend this
meet? Meet is open only to qualified swimmers
in Zone 2. This meet is limited to those swimmers who have achieved
the qualifying “PC-B” Time Standard by February 8,
2010, using the 2009 Pacific Swimming time standards.
HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMERS: If
you are a high school swimmer in season, you need to be UNATTACHED
from this meet. It is your responsibility to unattach from this
meet. UNATTACHED SWIMMERS MAY
NOT SWIM ON RELAY TEAMS.
Use
the "Attend this Event" button above to indicate if you will
be or not be attending this event. Please indicate which days
you are swimming.
- Please
remember to use this "Attend this
Event" feature only after you have
either mailed in your meet entries with payment
or registered online using the swim meet online entry
services as indicated on the meet sheet.
- The team does not send in your entries or pay for
your entries (except for relays). As always please see the meet
sheet to see the two ways you can enter the
meet.
How to enter a meet? (click blue link if you need to know how to enter a meet
or ask one of your fellow parents).
Swim Gear
Please bring extra towels and clothes. The
mornings will be cold so the kids will appreciate having extra dry
towels after their morning warm up and after each event.
Please have extra warm clothes and warm boots or shoes. It
will be too cold to wear sandals all day. Remember, a happy
swimmer is not a cold or freezing swimmer. Also, you will not
have to fork out extra money at the swim shop to buy clothes or
towels.
Also have your swimmer double check their gear
before you leave home. Again, you will not have to rush home
to get the missing gear and/or have to purchase new
gear.
Potluck
We
will have a morning potluck on Saturday and Sunday so please bring
healthy food items to share. Do not bring junk food.
i.e. donuts, candies, sugar snacks, etc.... If you bring
them, do not share them until after the meet.
LANE LINE TIMING SIGN
UPS
The EBAT lane line timing sign up
sheet will be made available in the morning for each day of the
meet. There are no advance sign-ups because kids do
get sick the day of the meet, then we are scrambling for
timers to take those empty slots. When you get to the meet
and are all settled in, it is your responsibility to sign up
for timing. If you know your child is swimming later in
the day please sign up for a later timing shift. If you know your
child will be swimming only one on two of the early events please
sign up for an early shift.
REMEMBER:
It
is mandatory for all families to time. For those families who
don’t attend the meet, but do send their child to the meet,
it is your responsibility to have someone time for your child
during the day they compete at the meet. You can
ask one of your fellow families, friends, or relatives to time
for your child. AGAIN, you will need to make arrangements for
someone to time for your child if you do not attend the meet
yourself. Creative things done in the past, hire someone to time
for you ($10.00 an hour sounds about right, but negotiable). Ask
fellow team families to cover for you and then you can return the
same at the next meet. Ask one of your family members or friends to
come support your child by coming to the meet to watch them and to
time for them.
Canopies:
We
will also need several parents to help transport our team’s
canopies to the meet. If you are able to help transport
canopies, please pick one up by Thursday or Friday during practice.
For the new swim season, please try you best to help out
with transporting our team canopies, as it is not fair for the
same parents to take the canopies to and from the meet every swim
meet. We should be sharing the task of transporting the canopies as
we all use them. Even if you volunteer do it 2 or 3 times a
year, it is a huge help. If you feel you cannot physically carry
the canopy, don’t worry; we have swimmers and parents who can
transport the canopy to and from your vehicle. For those
parents who own their own canopies, please bring them to the
meet.
